Once again, light is the protagonist of this new project, inventing and transforming space. I created a technical illumination system with recessed direct and indirect lights that mark the ceiling with an asymmetrical rhythm: “hanging” lights that leave the clothing free to float through the space. A store extending over two floors, connected with an oak ziggurat-stairway that develops around a 13-meter tall transparent green crystal box. The “fogher” cracked stone tiles laid around ad incertum, as in the work of Noguchi and the ancients, lower the space’s center of gravity, increasing the horizontality of the shelving-cuts along the walls. The changing rooms are extruding micro-architecture, inserted into the white walls. I wanted for natural materials to encounter the synthetic.
